  1. None of student will contact any official during championship hours only instructors & team coaches are allowed.
  2. Only one team coach is allowed beside the arena during bout. if found guilty the player will be    .
  3. There will be only three calls for each bout third call will be final call if failed to come than player will be disqualified. Time difference in each call will be of 2 minutes each.
  4. No objection will be on checked weight. Weighing once done on the day before competition starts and it will be valid up to closing day date
  5. Coach will sign the consolidated form after weighing.
  6. Official should be in proper uniform (Navy Blue Pant, Sky Blue Shirts, Tie, Black leather Shoes)

 

Purpose:

 

The purpose of these rules is to elevate the quality of Matsogi – Do by scoring every aspect and to provide an equal opportunity to all participants to show the ultimate of their abilities in friendly atmosphere on competing with one another.

Application: These are to be applied at every National & State Championships of MFI. They are applied to male and female except where stated otherwise.

Officials: The Juries, Referees and Judges will be selected from the rules of the certified umpires in the MFI / IMC

  1. Jury will normally consist of 1 senior umpire who will be seated in the place of honors, in front, and will render the final decision in case of a tie or dispute.
  2. Referee will be in the ring to control the match.
  3. Judge for pattern will be seated in a line facing the competitors. Judges for sparring will be seated at the four sides of the arena. They will give points in accordance with their judgment.
  4. Time keepers will be seated at ringside to check and indicate the beginning, end and continuation of bout. Each public liability insurances, fire certificates and Government licenses required to hold such an event.
  5. Rings will be usually of (8X8) meters square as approved by IMC.
  6. Competitor must Green Belt and above

POINT SYSTEM OF MATSOGI-DO CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Punch attacks will be valid only when they are stopped 2 cm away from the target.

 

 

ONE (1) POINT WILL BE AWARDED FOR :

 

  • Punch attack directed to mid or high section.
  • Foot attack directed to mid section.
  • Punch attack flying directed to mid section.
  • Perfect defense.

 

 

TWO (2) POINTS WILL BE AWARDED FOR :

 

  • Foot attack directed to high section.
  • Punch attack while in the air (both feet must be off the ground) directed to the high section.
  • Foot attack flying directed to mid section.

 

 

THREE (3) POINTS WILL BE AWARDED FOR :

 

  • Jumping or flying kick directed to high section.
  • jumping or flying 180 degree turning kick to mid section.
  • Jumping 360 degree mid section.
  • More turning kick to mid section..

 

 

FOULS

( For each foul deduction of 1 point will be there and after 3 fouls the player will be disqualified)

  • Intentionally hard attack
  • Misconduct
  • Improper UNIFORM

 

 

WARNINGS:-

(for each warning deduction of HALF point will be there)

  • Below belt kick
  • Pushing
  • Pulling
  • Gripping
  • Sweep
  • Out of arena
  • Falling down
  • Attack fallen opponent
  • Using abusive languages

 

 

NOTE :-

If anyone found misbehaving with officials, using abusive languages he/she will be disqualified. Team Coach/Manager have to respect the decision otherwise it will create difficulty for the whole team. If found taking any kind of Drugs by the management then that person or the whole team will be responsible for the disqualification.

 

 

Group sparring

 

  • The team consists of four competitions total time of team fight 6 minutes. 3player will play and 1 player will be substitute
  • One point is awarded to upper belt kick below face middle punch.
  • Two points are awarded to flying kick upper belt below face kick in ground position flying face punch
  • Three points are awarded to only flying face kick flying back kick and flying reverse turning skipping backwards.
  • Only three category in group sparring 1)Sub.jr, 2) junior 3) senior open weight category
  • Sum of three player scores will decide the winner

Braking Technique

 

Power measuring technique with the full breakage of board with decided the winner.

 

Demonstration

 

The team consists of six minimum members total time of team fight 5 minutes.

 

 

DRESS CODE

 

 

PLAYER UNIFORM

 

FOR COLOUR BELT PLAYERS it should be WHITE in Color in which SHIRT should be tapered then tight or lose one. Sleeves should be long enough to reach the wrist. The length of the shirt should be to the top of the thigh. While the pant length should be to the top of the ankle bone.

FOR BLACK BELT PLAYERS it should be SKY BLUE in color with the same style as above.

 

 

EVENTS

 

 

  • Individual sparring

It will be 1 round of 2 minute duration up to finals and Final Match will be of 2 rounds of 2 minute each with 30 seconds break.

  • Group sparring

Group consists of 4 players in each team. Category will be according to age, not weight. Categories are under 14 yrs, under 19 yrs, 19 yrs and above. Any of the 3 out of 4 will do fight and the left one will act as substitute. Total time of sparring will be 3players X 2minutes.

  • Individual Pattern

It is a kind of shadow fight in which opponent practices by own. It is for the perfection of blocks, stances, attacks and defense.

 

  • Group Pattern

6 players in each team, but only 5 will perform the event and the left one will act as substitute.

 

    5) Power breaking

It is a kind of measuring technique in which student can break the material up to the maximum range. Decision will be taken according to the proper measuring technique with the breakage of material.

Head Guard, Chest Guard, Hand Gloves, Groin Guard, Foot Gloves

 

 

 

 

 

UMPIRE UNIFORM

 

WINTER UNIFORM Sky Blue Shirt, Navy Blue Pants, Black Leather Shoes and Matsogi-do approved Neck Tie.

 

 

 

UMPIRE TEAM

 

1 Main Jury,

1 Timer,

1 Centre Referee,

4 Side Juries.

 

 

 

DECISIONS

 

  • When 3or 4 judges give decision in favour of 1 competitor than that competitor is the winner.
  • When 2 judges give decision in favour of 1 competitor (2 for 1 competitor+1 for other+1 giving it as a draw) than the competitor who get the decision of 2 judges is the winner followed by the referee decision.
  • When 2 judges are in 1 favor and other 2 judges in other’s favor than it is a draw then further 1 minute round will take place following a 30 seconds break.
  • When 1 judge in favor of 1 and 3 judges show draw then it is a draw then further 1 minute round will take place following a 30 seconds break.
